A quick suggesion..
We just started taking Action1 for a real spin and so far so good - I like how it's evolved from the first time I looked at back in the beginning of the year. One of the features I like is that, unlike our RMM, Action1 lists the machines main IP address - for us this is important because we use an SD-WAN agent and most tools report back the SD-WAN IP and not the local IP (which we scope out to identify origin location so we can tell when a device is in-house or on the road). I would like to suggest that Action 1 list multiple IPs when they're found however, because now we have the opposite problem - determining when a device is connected to the SD-WAN!

- Joey,
Action1 can give you the list of all network adapters on all of your endpoints with all of their IP addresses: https://www.action1.com/p/Free-Network-Adapters-17.html
It also might be helpful for you to see the list of routing tables for all endpoints: https://www.action1.com/p/Free-Windows-Routing-Table-40.html
Is this what you are looking for?
Merryworks, thank you for the feedback! I have submitted your request to our product management team. - Wish Action1 had a remote piece built-in but I can use another program for that if I need to.Merryworks - there you go: Action1's remote desktop access feature. The main difference from using 3rd party tools is you have to maintain a separate product (installs, licensing etc). Action1 remote access is all built-in, not other agents needed, fully encapsulated in the protocol (one less firewall config entry). A few more details in this press release: https://www.action1.com/Action1-Enables-Cloud-based-Remote-Access-and-Support.html
Third-party Deployment and Distribution Software
Hello everyone. I propose to discuss the pros and cons of various free software designed for deployment and distribution tools in this thread.
And firstly I'd like to tell about our free tool Action1 that can manage software deployment process from the Cloud, remotely install software over network and automate your entire software distribution system.
The main advantages of Action1:
- Remotely install software over network. Deploy MSI software on multiple computers without using Group Policy.
- Silently install EXE-packaged software from the Cloud on multiple remote computers without using Group Policy
- Remotely execute program on multiple endpoints. Similar to psexec remote command, but controlled from the Cloud.
- Remotely uninstall software on multiple computers at once from the Cloud

- 10 Spiceheads simply stating 'I use X' is a stronger indication that I should take notice of something, than any detailed post or repeated post/link by a GG who is (rightfully) biased towards their product. Just my view on that, and it matches my experience with many other Spiceheads.
- There are countless Spiceheads that use and swear by , myself included.Perhaps you should highlight what Action1 can do that PDQDeploy can't. Mac dvd ripper pro 8 0 48.PDQ provide many features for software deployment, but they are not cloud based. Therefore, the product must be run on your servers on the local network. Action1 does not require to maintain a dedicated server. Also, compared to on-premise (non-cloud) solution PDQ, cloud-based solution Action1 can manage laptops not connected to corporate local network all time. Well, the user interface of the PDQ seems a bit overloaded.
Microsoft creates a lightweight OS to compete with Google Chrome
Technogiant is developing a new operating system that can run on low-cost gadgets
Microsoft is working on a new version of the Windows operating system with limited functionality, according to howtogeek.
As noted in the publication, thanks to these restrictions, the new OS will be able to work even on low-cost hardware.
According to insider information, the technology giant plans to create a new version of the operating system, which will counter the growing competition from Google Chrome OS. The Lite version will be the initial solution for the Core operating system, which can replace Windows 10.
At the same time, for Core there is another approach to the structure of the OS. It will be a modular system that will allow Microsoft to develop a single block of software, to which it will then be possible to add individual elements and functions in accordance with the needs of the user.
Thus, one operating system can be used for various gadgets - from entry-level smartphones to high-performance workstations used to create multimedia content.
Lite OS will be able to run only universal applications Universal Windows Program and progressive web applications. Applications that take up a lot of resources, like Photoshop, are unlikely to be supported. This approach resembles the Chrome system of applications and extensions.
Now, many users are quite comfortable working with the operating system created around the browser and using various online services.
